NATURAL HOT SPRINGS AND SPA FACILITIES

The region between Razlog and Velingrad contains the largest number of natural hot mineral water springs in Eastern Europe with temperatures ranging from 28 to 91oC.

The village of Banya is 4 km away and contains both restored Roman and Turkish bath houses. Nowadays, there are several spa hotels with pools in this village (Aquilon Spa, Aspa Vila, Rimska Banya). However, there is also an excellent outdoor warm pool (Izgreva Spa) with surrounding loungers and restaurant, serving a cheap but high quality menu. Access to this facility costs about £2.80 /day. There is a similar but larger outdoor pool complex at Dobrinishte.

A full body massage costs approximately £8. Treat yourself to a soak in the warm mineral water after a hard days skiing, trekking, or cycling.
